Montier Building Services Limited was founded in January 2021 by Director James Montier.
James had an early introduction to the construction trade thanks to his family. His father was a builder and by age 12, James had already learnt how to drive heavy plant machinery on site. In addition, his uncle had a long established landscaping business and took James under his wing as a teenager, teaching him the various aspects involved including all the different types of fencing, turf and aggregates.
After finishing school at the age of 15, he began his groundworks career as a hod carrier as well as working with his father on numerous jobs during his younger years. He went on to complete his NVQ Level 2 qualification as an operator of plant machinery, obtained his street works ticket and site safety supervisor certification. With these accreditations under his belt, James was now a fully competent construction worker, managing risk assessments and running sites safely with all the necessary paperwork in place.
Over his 15+ years in this industry, he continued to work with various other construction and landscaping companies before venturing out on his own mid-2020, establishing his limited company soon afterwards.
